So, you're an indie hipster who shops madly at Threadless? Can't be seen without your Urban Outfitters messenger bag? Do you buy the latest iPod not because you have a huge mp3 collection but because you want people to THINK you have a huge mp3 collection? And do you like Pokemon?
Nintendo has you covered, man.
Aging Pokemaniacs rejoice, there is now a way to proclaim your love of the sport AND be subtle enough that you don't come off as a child molestor. The latest Pokemon franchisee is Pokemon 151, a line of t-shirts that take your favorite teeny-tiny little killing machines and amps them up with haute designs that would put Threadless to shame. While at present only four designs are available, and the site seems to imply that these shirts are only available in Japan, the promise is that eventually the complete 151 initial Pokemon will, indeed, be made available. At present, Hot Topic is stocking retro-90s Pokemon gear, but it would be FANTASTIC if they picked these up and brought the love of Pokemon to the adults among us (myself included) utterly shameless enough to proudly and boldly admit to it.

You may recall my Steampunk Nerf Gun post from a while back, where I painted a Nerf Maverick all metallic to go with a costume I was making. I got an email from the creator of the Grab-it Pack(™!) who saw the post and mentioned that multiple people have purchased this pocketed accessory as a holster for their Nerf Mavericks.
Extra pockets are always nice and the Grab-it Pack actually looks like an incredibly useful pack if you're going hiking, cosplaying as the Man-With-Too-Many-Pockets or raiding a tomb full of ancient treasure and secrets.
They are about 23 bucks and you can order them from GrabitPack.com.
[Thanks, Louis!]

Brand new at NerdyShirts today is this classy Frog Mario shirt, which has at least four good things going for it:
- Frog Mario is arguably the best Super Mario power-up of all time
- The design is printed all the way across the shirt, making it look more unique than your typical shitty Hot Topic game tee
- It's a lovely shade of periwinkle
- Did I mention Frog Mario is awesome?
Grab em now before they go out of stock. Which they probably will.

This is the moment we've all been waiting for...wherein the true power of the Schwartz was revealed to be...MOICHandising! Head over to The Weekly Geek's store, nab one of these shirts, and get a sneak peek at the new site design. The price is definitely reasonable at $18.95 (before tax and shipping) and you cannot refute the awesomeness of the unique design. It's at the bottom of the shirt! THAT'S CRAZY.
Speaking of which, I wonder if I will have to buy my own. Hmm...
Many thanks to Sebastian over at SplitReason for helping us get this store up and running!
Show off your general love of video games, in style, today at The Weekly Geek store!!

Disgruntled by our recent t-shirt contest and his favorite design not winning, Weekly Geek listener Josh did what any honorable geek would do: he made his own. Josh lovingly crafted these remarkably accurate visages of three of our podcast regulars, myself, Qais and Mack. I love how grumpy we all look (click to zoom). He hit it right on the nose!
While I don't usually like t-shirts that blatantly advertise a website or product or just have a character with a slogan on them (cough CAD cough), I can't help but think The Weekly Geek fits the model. What do you think?

Hello fellow geekateers! With the wrap-up of the t-shirt design contest, I'm sure you're all wondering when the green, geeky goodness is going to be available for purchase? Good question! SplitReason informed me that the shirt has entered the production queue and should be ready within 2-3 weeks, which puts us at mid-April. The shirt sizes are: S, M, L, XL, and XXL. Even if my vote (which didn't count!) was for the first design, I can hardly wait to start rocking this shirt! Huzzah, indeed! Oops, I meant...hooray for video games!

On this week's podcast we discussed how awesome it was that Target was supporting indie gaming by selling the Experimental Games Project's array of indie game-themed tees, but Boing Boing Gadgets is now reporting that Target is pulling them from the shelves!
Despite mentions that t-shirts from the Experimental Gameplay Project (that cleverly included the games themselves on a bundled CD) were selling out in some Target locations, a developer whose work was featured has told Boing Boing Gadgets that Target will not be continuing to sell the products.
"We have recently found out that target isnt going to go forward with EGP," said our source. "We are going to try a few other places to see if we can get it picked up."
The developers are looking to other outlets such as Hot Topic or Urban Outfitters, both of which I am sure will be able to move the shirts (and attached games) faster, due to their audiences. Target did seem like a strange, almost shotgun approach to marketing.

Are you a fan of both innuendo and politics? Well then what other choice do you have besides clothing yourself in this attractive Obama-wear? A friend of mine is printing these clever Obama shirts which are not only awesome and stylish but a portion of money earned from shirt sales will go to the Obama campaign. Slogans include "Rock out with your Barack out" and "Barack your socks off". I would have only been able to come up with something like "Between a Barack and a hard place" or "Detroit Barack City". It's a good thing there are people more clever than I!

The ever erudite folks over at GameSetWatch have launched a super-rad t-shirt series called Games That Never Were, tapping artists like Dan Paladin (Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers) and James Kochalka (American Elf) to create designs based on made-up games. My favorite is Kochalka's "Glorkian Warrior", but the design for Hostage Negotiator II makes me pine for the good ol days of Hostage Negotiator I. Maybe it will be released on XBLA one day. The shirts are all limited edition and cost about $17.95. Sizes range from M-XL, which means ultra-skinny dudes like me or ultra fat dudes like some guy who is ultra-fat are going to miss out.

Okay so I know the last t-shirts I put up for preorder weren't cool. They were just a logo and no one wants to be our billboard. SO! I made a shirt that I would actually want to wear. Do you want one? There is this awesome design on the front and the shirts will be a dark navy because I know you feel the need to show how sad you are by wearing dark colors. Now taking preorders. Shipping is going to be $3.00, standard and the shirts themselves will be $12. They will be high quality shirts from Brunetto, who I have gone through before and are awesome. Help support the show by buying a t-shirt!

Now taking pre-orders for the AWESOME official Weekly Geek shirt! You know you want one. They will be black shirts with the Weekly Geek logo and URL on the front. Shipping is going to be $3.00, standard. This is a pre-order situation right now, so once we get enough pre-orders to cover the cost of creating the shirts we will place the order. They will be high quality shirts from Brunetto, who I have gone through before and are awesome. Help support the show by buying a t-shirt!
