I find it extremely difficult to contain my enthusiasm for Battlestar Galactica's final season premiere this Friday, April 4th. Being a new-ish BSG fan, I finished watching seasons 1 through 3 and Razor earlier this year. My limited exposure to BSG, however, has no bearing on my level of enthusiasm and devotion to the show. It’s definitely one of those shows with a perfect blend of plot, character development, eye candy (OMG Starbuck), and shit blowing up. This is why I was so frakking excited when I came upon these propaganda posters via Geeksugar. I would encourage all of you to do your part in saving humanity, but the posters are currently sold out! ThinkGeek provides April 9th as the date of the next availability. I will keep my fingers crossed. If anyone sees these posters available anywhere else… you know where to find me.
Update: So, remember when I said the availability date was April 9th? Well, I guess ThinkGeek is in the business of under-promising and over-delivering, since I was just able to place my order! The cheapest shipping method (DHL) was a little spendy at $8.70. The posters, which are $29.95 for a set of five, are still well worth it in my book though.

Excitement! Intrigue! Feats of amazement, designed to astound! These are things not normally found in a podcast, but no! The Weekly Geek presents you with all that and more. This week, Chris and Mack announce the T-shirt contest winners, how Rock Band on the Wii may or may not be awesome (you be the judge! A new interactive feature!), the cramp-inducing Guitar Hero DS peripheral is revealed, and they talk a bit about SNL after the writer's strike. You know what else is awesome? The rest of the podcast, that's what. This includes a discussion of affairs medical, affairs scientific, affairs cryptozoological and affairs regarding magic powder.
I'll say it so no one else has to, The Weekly Geek crew is extremely lucky. Not only do we get to see Battlestar Galactica: Razor in advance, we get to see it on the big screen. Now there are those of us at Chez Geek that would rather horde such a treasure, possibly lording it over those less fortunate than us. However, thanks to the near messianic altruism of Chris (not to mention the snub nosed pistol currently shoved up against the back of my head) we're spreading the love to you.
Click this here link to register to see Battlestar Galactica: Razor in the theater on November 12th. The film is playing in Redmond, Seattle, and Auburn so anyone not local or unwilling to fly in is out of luck, and while I may hate you, Chris' love is everlasting.
The Geektomites will be at the 10 p.m. Seattle showing for those of you that would like to join us. Look for the sentient spaghetti string Chris or the obnoxiously blue coiffed Q for both fun and excitement cinematic in nature.
Only a few more months until the best show on TV returns to smash our eyeballs into a jillion pieces. In the meantime, enjoy this Season 4 Promo. Obviously, if you haven't seen season 3 thar be spoilers ahead, matey.

Surprisingly, for all the talk of Mr. Rogers, this episode of The Weekly Geek contains massive amounts of profanity! Because both White Mage and Colette were out sick this week, you get to hear Chris and The Geek yell at people for liking Shrek, yell at people for not liking Mr. Rogers, and yell at Pirates for being so awesome. Or something. We've got movie news, a couple video game overviews, and some red rings of death sadness. Check it!
We geeks sure do love our tee-vee. When we aren't using the boxes to play our favorite electronic distractions, we are watching riveting series. We are obsessive in our television watching, renting season after season of our favorite shows from Netflix and watching hours in one sitting. Television is arguably better than movies these days, and to prove that here is The Weekly Geek's list of the Top 5 TV shows of all time. Cue up your queue and get crackin'. Full lists after the jump.

#532: Extreme Gardening
This week The Geek and Frodo welcome special guest Rikki Simons, and proceed to discuss garden trowels, MMORPGs, the strangeness of Second Life, Penny Arcade Expo, Xbox live, Sony blunders and they only make ONE Wii joke. We apologize. Here are some show notes:
Some big geeky news items from today that I wanted to discuss with you fellow geeks:
iTunes added a huge amount of new tv shows to its lineup, including NBC shows The Office, Surface and Law and Order, USA shows like Monk, and my own personal exciting bit of news, Sci Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica. If you haven't used it yet, the iTunes music store is excellent for downloading video, and at $2 a pop, it is generally cheaper than buying the DVDs. Now finally I can get caught up on Galactica...
Also, an X-3 teaser trailer is up, and honestly I had no idea they had gotten so much done on the movie. Last I heard they didn't even have a director, but as you can see from the teaser they seem to have some principal CG work done. That's pretty far into the project, I'd say. Kelsey Grammer is featured in the teaser as Beast, and he looks passable! I was a bit worried about the project not being helmed by Brian Singer, but if this teaser is any indication, X-3 is going to be very, very good. I heart X-Men.
PEACE OUT and don't forget to download this week's show.
