We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky. We're casual, conversational, NSFW and hopefully interesting. We hope you enjoy it.
It's almost that time! Fallout: New Vegas is upon us and me, Jinny and Ross couldn't be more excited. But are we just getting our hopes up for nothing? In this week's podcast we talk about the imminent release of this new iteration of the Fallout series, as well as the worrisome news that all reviews have been embargoed until release day. We also chat about Super Meat Boy, Kirby's Epic Yarn, President Obama on Mythbusters, Minecraft and Enslaved. Ross also gives some tips on turntable needles, and we geek out a bit about a few TV shows we're watching. Stay tuned for the song of the week at the end of the show. It's pretty darn fantastic.
Now if you'll excuse us, we've got an addiction to feed.
We're entranced by one certain game this week - Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Join me, Jinny and Ross in a (relatively spoiler-free) discussion about this sleeper hit. If you're on the fence about picking up what is one of the best games of the year, jump right on over to the other side of that fence. We also discuss old and painfully difficult NES games, the Family Circus live action movie, Tony Bourdain's foray into graphic novels, A&E's Obsessed, Hoarders and Intervention and Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. Yeah, we jump around a lot. We also answer some mailbag! Enjoy.

It's all Nintendo (with a little bit of Fallout, as per usual) this week. Buckle up.
This week is all about PAX Prime 2010, which took place this last weekend in Seattle. It's truly enlightening.

It's like hearing how sausage is made. Podcast sausage.

Oh, to have a game like Borderlands to discuss on a podcast. Oh, yes. It is That Time.
It's a relatively low-key podcast this week as Jinny and I tell Ross about how much fun we had without him in San Fransisco. We discuss Flynn DeMarco's production of Bride of Frankenstein, the Treasure Island Music Festival and the Flaming Lips, time travel and Higgs-Boson particles, hyperspace, Demon Souls, bit.Trip Void and more.

Batman and cake and the Kindle. A random array of things discussed for your enjoyment.
It's just two old dudes reminiscing about "the good ol' days" on this week's podcast. Yup. Just me and Ross waxing nostalgic about the golden age of gaming, LIFE magazine, Monty Python, Mickey Mouse, Queen and Super Mario Bros. Ah, the memories! We also crack open the mailbag and ask the eternal question: Why are there so many people named Diego listening to the podcast?! And more. There's always so very much more.
When is enough enough? Franchises losing their luster is a main topic of discussion on this week's podcast with me, Jinny and Ross weighing in on Street Fighter, Katamari and Metal Gear Solid. We also crack open the mailbag, which was filled to the brim this week with your questions. We talk about meeting Internet People in person! We even got a few death threats. Love you all bunches. Tune in for an impromptu puzzle-solving contest, as well!
This week is all over the board as Jinny, Ross and Qais join me in discussion about the Tesla Roadster (and how I got to drive one!), Scribblenauts (and how Ross hates fun!), the official Buddhist stance on violent video games (and how I like to alienate my friends!), the prospect of Twitter-enabled games and how to make an incredibly good Fallout 3 laser rifle. And then, sometime during the show, Qais finally puts the Kanye meme to bed. We hope you enjoy.
There are things we talk about in this podcast that are not Beatles Rock Band related, but those things are inconsequential. Perhaps we discuss Batman: Arkham Asylum (like the last three podcasts) or perhaps we talk more about PAX (which is old and busted by this point) but for sure Jinny, Ross and Qais join me in discussing Bethesda suing Interplay over the Fallout franchise, Disney's D23 convention and the Cheapest Muppet Movie ever made, the new Pirates of the Caribbean, how much Qais hated the movie 9, and the secret internet rivalry between Ectomo and the Weekly Geek. It is a rivalry for the ages, this one.
I know you're expecting us to say something like "we invaded PAX this weekend, and PAX didn't know what hit it" but in all honesty, we went for a day and a half, had some fun, and then went home to play Beatles: Rock Band. In this week's show, I am joined by Qais, Ross and Jinny as we talk about the events of last weekend (including our spectacular community meet-up) as well as Beatles: Rock Band, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Shadow Complex. If you didn't make it out to PAX this year, perhaps this podcast will make you feel better. Or worse. Mostly worse.
The Weekly Geek is done on a zero budget, with no funding other than ads and merch. Help support the site with a donation! Consider it like tipping your waiter. We also give gifts for larger donations.
