I swear I thought of the Techno remix seconds before you said it.

    I'm considering it.

The story of those two rat ladys scared the living hell out of me.

I actually just bought connect 360 and I have to say my biggest gripe with it was more to do with the xbox than the plugin. It plays all my stuff flawlessly so far but the music controls on the 360 leave a fair bit to be desired.
Playlists for me havent been stopping when they reached the end and finding things is a pain when you have 300 or so albums. Using both sticks, one for maybe flipping 10 albums and one for each individual one might have helped, though its a small problem. Also please steal cover flow, this is one place where I might actually have used it.
Streaming also beats the hell out of the jet engine noise when using a DVD too.

yeah, finding media on the 360 is a pain with the way it's set up. I actually prefer using the ps3 for its media player, though it's only slightly better. At least the visualizations are better.

The streaming on 360 works fine for me. I use a Windows PC and the Zune PC software, which is smart enough to find all of the new albums I add to my computer automatically. I used to use WMP11, but it would also muddle up the lists with podcasts and could only read MP3s. The Zune software is a vast improvement for streaming (no podcasts, .m4a, etc.)

Oh my lordy Jesus. I am officially scared shittless of old people who live in L.A. Just when I thought it safe to go to L.A. to visit my great grandma, crazy rat ladies appear. For all I know one of those ladies could have been her, I don't know, I never meet the lady. I'm with Quais on this one. I am never going to L.A.....EVER!! Great podcast though, despite the fact I might have to humanily dispose of my brother's pet rat now just to be able to sleep at night.

Man, Mac sure was a grumpy gus.

My teacher was once upon a time part of the committee of judges for the academy. I can assure you that it isn't all politically motivated, but that is a big part of it (maybe 30%.) There is real acknowledgement of real talent, but at the end of the day it's just a tv show. They have to get the Nielson biomass to watch. Sometimes the real talent takes back seat to the glittery fluff.

Now don't get me started on the Nobel peace prizes. Those are the ultimate banana stickers for celebrities.

The study on separation reminds me of when you get an e-mail from a naive person passing on an e-mail about how some little girl is missing, or how some little boy is dying, or how you can make money by forwarding e-mail or whatever, and then you go on snopes and find out that the girl was missing for like a day 8 years ago, but the e-mails still go around because people don't bother to check them and I hate those people.

I got a little distracted there but I think you get my point.

Hahaha, it's so terrible that the rat story didn't horrify me as much as I would have expected it to.

But 'twas a good podcast indeed and had me trying not to laugh, as I was listening to it on a crowded train.

I failed. But on the upside, no one sat next to me. Win!

Holy crap, that story was terrible. Why did you keep talking about it? For that matter, why did I keep listening? That art is totally awesome though.

Funfact: I own a copy of ET for the Atari. If anyone MUST have it, I may be willing to part with it, because A) it really is a terrible game, really & B) I have modernized to the point that I cannot hook my Atari up to any television I own.
