We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky.

Podcast for 06.09.08 | Pong Machinima

    pongmachinima.jpg

Join Weekly Geek editors Ross, Jinny, Qais and Chris this week as they discuss the new iPhone, how Apple may (or may not!) destroy the Nintendo DS, Republicans playing World of Warcraft, in-game ads, how the Atari movie could be an epic of our times, and the art of Adolf Hitler. The only other place you could get such a crazy mix of topics is if you were to be harassed by a meth-addled hobo! Don't let the hobo get you! Download the podcast post-haste!

Note: Due to unfortunate technical disturbances in the force, Ross' audio is at whisper-level. Instead of just scrapping this perfectly decent podcast, I opted to release it anyway for posterity. I apologize in advance for any burst eardrums caused by audio schizophrenia.

Turned it off after about 20 minutes. Ross just talks too much to make listening to this one possible. However, I did hear a little bit of talk about the iPhone. I'm including a link where Yahoo! Tech points out that the cheaper phone is going to come to $40 more over two years (because they've raised the rate by $10 per month).

    Sorry Zac. :( :(

I promise it was awesome. Ross is pretty rad.

interestingly enough there are some rumours, at least on the UK side that there might be a pay as you go option for it, which sounds intreguing...

And this is why you do sound checks kids!

For me, even with the audio turned waaaay up, I could barely hear him, so it seemed like extended moments of akward silence between the rest of you.

So, I just started to voice my opinion and pretend I was part of the podcast gang...

Damn, I shouldn't have said that.

@jane doe: That's hilarious! It's something that I would do as well.

@Jane Doe: I didn't think of doing that. Instead it was almost funnier to imagine weird and crazy things he could have been saying that would also prompt the gang's reaction. Whatever it was he was saying, it was apparently very funny.

So do a sound check check!

Eh, the sound issues weren't as bad as I thought after I read all these comments. I could even hear Ross sometimes when I turned it up... but then someone else would talk really loud and it'd startle me.
