Podcast for 04-28-08 | Stupid Fingers

    042808stupidfingers.jpg

It's Grand Theft Auto week and Chris, Qais and Ross express various levels of excitement at the prospect of hijacking cars and shooting hookers. Love it or hate it, the internet is atwitter with GTA coverage and we shamelessly feed into it in this week's podcast. But this week isn't just about GTA, no! Also discussed is the prospect of awesome crashes with motorcycles in Burnout, whether or not the Guinness Book of Records Gamer Edition is worthwhile, how movie directors can use misdirection to their advantage, and Qais reveals he has a horrifying disability: Stupid fingers.

*rant* It bugs the crap out of me whenever you say "everybody should be playing Rock Band and if you're not then you're..." Not because I think you mean it, but because I CAN'T! Oh sweet lord I wish I could but I live in Australia and we not only don't have the game but also don't have a release date and judging by the UK price when it does get released here it will be around $400AUD! That's $375USD!

So even when the game comes out I may have to boycott it out of spite anyway.

DAMN YOU EA! DAMN YOU PEOPLE PLAYING ROCKBAND! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! */rant*

I picked up bass guitar not long after getting Rock Band - plus there's a number of friends of mine who have picked up guitar because of Guitar Hero. I think these game definately cultivate an interest in the real world instruments - or at the very least an increased appreciation of music.

I picked up Guitar Hero because I failed at guitar and figured I could beat it on easy and gain back some of my self respect.

My friend always says things about people just spending the time learning a real guitar instead of playing Guitar Hero when he's around it, and I told him how you guys were saying that there's always some d-bag at a party who says that and he just laughed.

    What say you?!
