We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky.

Podcast for 03-17-08 | Five Stars

It's just Chris and Qais on the podcast this week, as the duo discuss the Weekly Geek t-shirt contest, how St. Patrick's day sucks, free Guitar Hero DLC, and how Dreamworks sucks. But not everything sucks! We also talk about the MMO documentary Second Skin, and how we think that it would be nice to see a documentary paint gamers in a kind light, but how it's not likely to fill seats at the theater. Ok, that kind of sucks. All of these topics and more await you!

Ya know in the past two-three month's, since that one cat left, the show has had kind of a down tone or totally negitive. What the fuck? I totally dug the happy, lighthearted geeks. Now i've got the cynical, ass-hole kinda geeks.

These are dark days, my friend. Dark days indeed.

Two words for you...Bear Stearns. Dark times indeed.

@Jay: In all seriousness, I don't think the podcast has been "negative" in the least, especially the "nostalgia" one from a few weeks ago. What part of this week's podcast makes you think that? (I'm just curious).

@Mikebot: So is the whole thing a hoax, or just the live-action part? A Google search reveals numerous mentions of Pixar doing "John Carter of Mars" but I'm not seeing anything on an official Disney or Pixar Web site.

If true, it would be fantastic.
