We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky.

Podcast for 06-04-07 | Red Rings of Shrek

Surprisingly, for all the talk of Mr. Rogers, this episode of The Weekly Geek contains massive amounts of profanity! Because both White Mage and Colette were out sick this week, you get to hear Chris and The Geek yell at people for liking Shrek, yell at people for not liking Mr. Rogers, and yell at Pirates for being so awesome. Or something. We've got movie news, a couple video game overviews, and some red rings of death sadness. Check it!

    Good show, but...

If I have to fast-forward through 2 hours of crappy music to hear the end of the show again, I'm gonna shoot a crippled puppy that pulls itself around in a little puppy wheelchair in an incredibly pathetic and heart-wrenching manner.

Whoa there. Other people seem to enjoy the intermission music, and it allows us to take a short break and introduce you to something you may not have heard. We WERE a radio show after all.

Is it really that much of a hassle to fast forward through 2 minutes of music that you will probably like if you like the show? Come on. QUIT COMPLAINING ITS FREE, YOU JERK.

It can be a hassle to fast forward, especially on an iPod. If you were to accidentally skip ahead instead of FF then the podcast would end, and you'd have to arduously fast forward through 50 minutes just to catch the last 6 minutes.

I think the intermission is totally unnecessary. If I want to take a break I can push pause. On top of that, this week's music was really irritating.

Aside from the negativity, The Weekly Geek is still the best geek podcast. Period. I always look forward to every show. It'd take a lot more than crappy music to get me to stop loving you guys.
