Weekly Geek game night: Settlers of Catan
In the first of what promises to be many game nights, this past week we had a Weekly Geek DUDES NIGHT, which served basically as one of our first staff meetings (only the dudes though, because we are chauvinistic like that)! This week's flavor? Settlers of Catan style. After playing it on the Xbox Live Arcade we found the boxed version and decided to try it. The game lasted about 2 ½ hours with set up and tear down and was amazingly fun. Playing the analog version actually changed the way we think about our strategies in the digital version, and being in person also changes the way you think about resource trading.
