We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky. We're casual, conversational, NSFW and hopefully interesting. We hope you enjoy it.

    Dean Kamen's Robotic Arm

You remember Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway? He is currently working on a robotic arm, and it's damned impressive. Currently the arm has only been demonstrated behind closed doors and in darkened alleys, but here is a video of Dean speaking in Hawaii, showing off what the arm could do.

I have chills. This is pretty amazing.

It'll probably cost 3 hojillion dollars, if his other inventions are any sort of guide.

He's a good inventor, but he can't make stuff practical (plus he's bit of a patent troll.) You also have to be rich to afford his stuff.

I remember when he invented an ultra-compact electrical generator and water purifier that could run on any source of heat (solar, wood, alcohol, gas) that would be for developing 3rd world countries... but it cost $50,000.

Needless to say, it wasn't very successful.

    What say you?!
