We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky. We're casual, conversational, NSFW and hopefully interesting. We hope you enjoy it.

Mooninites Cause Bomb Scare

MOONINITE.jpg

I've seen some interesting guerilla art projects in my time. The LED throwies and Mario Question Blocks most recently come to mind. And just like the Mario blocks, this newest one, a "viral" marketing attempt by Adult Swim to promote Aqua Teen Hunger Force, has caused a bomb scare. Oh, no! Terrarists! The terrars!

Seems they made little LED boards with Err and Ignignokt flipping the proverbial bird and threw 'em up on some lines, causing them to eerily stare down at the Boston public. From the article:

It seems that suspicious devices were spotted on bridges, overpasses, in subway stations and other public places. The devices -- described ominously as being "composed of electronic circuit boards with LED lights attached" -- were shaped like little glowing figures who seemed angry. The bomb squad was called in, and they detonated at least one of the devices and removed the others. Traffic was snarled for hours.

I would kill for footage of scared, timid authority figures blowing up Mooninites. Hilarious.

Don't get arrested, friends. Keep on keepin' on.
